TIMOTHY PIERCE, PHD
PASTOR
Tim's passion is in teaching the Word. Whether he is in the pulpit at Port Caddo or lecturing at ETBU where he is a professor, he loves to help people deepen their understanding of God and themselves. He and his wife Kristy have been married for 33 years and have three children. He has served on faculty at different institutions preparing ministers to serve churches and has himself served in churches in Arizona, Oklahoma, and Texas. He also has a deep love for worship and missions. He has worked overseas sharing the gospel and teaching the word in Kazakhstan, Kenya, the Republic of North Macedonia, Poland, England, and Prague. He has written a book on the Theology of Worship, Enthroned on Our Praise, and contributed to CSB Baker Study Bible and the Baker Illustrated Bible Dictionary. At the end of the day, however, he is about people and serving them as he points them to the Father, through the Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

GENE kAY,
cHURCH pIANIST
Gene Kay has been around Port Caddo Baptist Church since birth. When she was about 8 or 9 years old, someone asked her if she “wanted to go down the aisle” during a revival meeting and join the church. She did that and considered herself a Christian until she realized, at the age of 18, that she had not really asked Jesus into her heart and given Him control of her life. Doing that in her bed at home that night she knows for sure that she is one of God’s children. Gene has been church pianist since 1957! her goal as church pianist has always been to ‘lead the people to a deep worship of the Lord and to magnify His Word through music. “The Longer I Serve HIM the Sweeter He Grows”
