Port Caddo Staff

Please, take a minute and read our staff bios and get to know us a little.

Tim's passion is in teaching the Word. Whether he is in the pulpit at Port Caddo or lecturing at ETBU where he is a professor, he loves to help people deepen their understanding of God and themselves. He and his wife Kristy have been married for 30 years and have three children. He has served on faculty at different institutions preparing ministers to serve churches and has himself served in churches in Arizona, Oklahoma, and Texas. He also has a deep love for worship and missions. He has worked overseas sharing the gospel and teaching the word in Kazakhstan, Kenya, the Republic of North Macedonia, Poland, England, and Prague. He has written a book on the Theology of Worship, Enthroned on Our Praise, and contributed to CSB Baker Study Bible and the Baker Illustrated Bible Dictionary. At the end of the day, however, he is about people and serving them as he points them to the Father, through the Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

  • Keila Reyes

Keila Reyes is a servant of the Lord. She is currently a senior at East Texas Baptist University, where she is pursuing a degree in Worship Studies to answer the calling the Lord has placed in her heart. Keila was born into a Pastoral family, allowing her to really experience what ministry is like. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very early age, and she is a firm believer that He deserves every praise. Keila previously served as the Worship Leader at her father’s church for a few years, and is now serving as our Music Minister here at Port Caddo. Keila continues to learn and to grow in her calling, worshipping God with not only her talents, but with her whole life.

  • Annika Johnson

Annika Johnson is a devoted daughter of the Most High. Her love for Jesus led her to pursue a degree in Worship Studies at ETBU, where she attends now as a sophomore. After a miraculous recovery from chronic Lyme disease, which she bravely fought as a teen, she continues to grow in her faith and worship of Jesus, recognizing Him not only as her healer, maker, savior, author of love- but also as the one who deserves her very best. It is her whole heart that others would come to find Him just the same!

  • GENE kAY,

Gene Kay has been around Port Caddo Baptist Church since birth. When she was about 8 or 9 years old, someone asked her if she “wanted to go down the aisle” during a revival meeting and join the church. She did that and considered herself a Christian until she realized, at the age of 18, that she had not really asked Jesus into her heart and given Him control of her life. Doing that in her bed at home that night she knows for sure that she is one of God’s children. Gene has been church pianist since 1957!  her goal as church pianist has always been to ‘lead the people to a deep worship of the Lord and to magnify His Word through music. “The Longer I Serve HIM the Sweeter He Grows”
